External Description: The Aviva Finance Operations (AFO) Corporate Actuarial team is now happy to announce we are looking for senior Actuarial Reporting Managers to join our team. This is a team that collaborates across Aviva to provide consolidated Group financial reporting results and financial analysis/management information (including forecasts, solvency monitoring, sensitivities and stress and scenario testing). AFO have a continuous development and improvement culture across our people, processes and Aviva's risk and control environments. These roles provide an exciting opportunity to work on Group level results for a Global composite insurer and gain broad knowledge across our Life/GI/investment business in a number of markets while getting exposure to key decisions, wide oversight and senior business partners. The team currently comprises of around 15 individuals across sites in York and Bristol. The team is part of a wider AFO Financial and Regulatory Reporting team that produces and consolidates the accounting and actuarial results for the UK Life and UK General Insurance business as well as at a Group level. The role's duties & responsibilities: The team produces financial results and commentary to support internal and external reporting including the Actuarial metrics (e.g. OCG, SII RoE/RoC, VNB, COR) and solvency position in Aviva PLC investor/analyst results. Other responsibilities of the role include: Planning, co-ordinating and leading all aspects of the key deliverables working with markets and Group centre business partners – with a team of 2-3 reporting in Building insight and analysis of results via high quality commentary and external messaging Managing relationships with Group centre partners including our Group Actuarial Reporting Director and Group Capital Management Director Writing of instructions for markets Reviewing and challenging of market submissions and commentary Consolidation/Aggregation of market results into a Group view Supervising maintenance and development of efficient processes to support business requirements Skills & experiences required: Qualified actuary with significant financial reporting experience (preferably around economic capital or Solvency II) Ability to distil and communicate large amounts of sophisticated information, both financial and non-financial, and express it in terms that give understanding and a sense of ownership to business partners Ability to manage teams, empower and build with other members of the wider actuarial team and across Business Divisions Experience of controls focus to avoid financial misstatement and messaging errors Proven track record of process delivery to a very high standard, in particular, being able to own tasks from creation to completion What will the role provide?
