External Description:

We are looking for a Junior Cyber Threat Analyst to join the Global Threat Hunting Team within Aviva.

Your main purpose will be to protect Aviva and its customers from the damage caused by cyber-attacks. You will support Aviva in ensuring that security incidents are handled efficiently to minimise the impact and reduce the risk to the business.

 

As a junior analyst you will learn new skills aswell as working with the senior analysts to develop new threat hunts utilising the MITRE ATT&CK Framework techniques.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responding to cyber security incidents from the Global Security Operations Centre and other areas of the business.
  • Threat Hunting using available technologies and log sources to find unknown and previously undetected threats based off the MITRE ATT&CK Framework.
  • Analysis of large amounts of data to find anomalous and suspicious behaviour.
  • Identify any gaps in our Detect and Respond Service; people, process or technologies and highlight these via direct dialogue with specialist areas/individuals that support security control operation.
  • Writing playbook on how to deal with security incident including Instruction for Containment, eradication and recovery.

Skills & Experience:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in information security, computer forensics, information technology or software development.
  • Knowledge of Information Security regulatory and legislative requirements.
  • Experience of SIEM tools and log analysis.
  • Experience of Linux Operating Systems.
  • Experience in scripting (python, PowerShell, BASH, etcetera).
  • Holds GCIH, OSCP, GCFE desirable.
